Elitfönster – User centered design increases profitability with 500%
Elitfönster aimed to offer a more thoughtful and unified digital customer experience to create value for users and generate business benefits. The project involved developing a new, modern, and easy-to-navigate website that synergized with Elitfönster’s various brand platforms. The goal was to strengthen Elitfönster’s market-leading brand, generate more leads for resellers, and make it easier for end customers to find information and inspiration.

Challenge
The main challenge was simplifying and securing the window purchasing process at all stages. This involved ensuring that the digital platform effectively addressed real user challenges and provided a secure experience throughout the purchasing journey.
The project also required integrating Elitfönster’s updated brand language into a design system, necessitating a strong meeting culture to maintain alignment with the company’s new vision.
Solution
A comprehensive preliminary study was conducted, revealing that many users found the process of buying and installing windows complicated. To address this, the new website included an inspiration segment showcasing Elitfönster’s products in various settings, helping customers find the right solutions more easily. The website was divided into two main sections: one for private customers and another for professionals, ensuring tailored information for each group.
We introduced tools to reduce the friction that surfaces when deciding on manufacturer and style. “Build Your Window” and the “Energy Calculator” were introduced. These tools allow users to design their windows, get pricing, and calculate potential energy savings, facilitating a smoother purchasing process.

The launch of two new websites, elitefonster.se and elitefonsterpaplats.se, has refreshed Elitfönster’s design expression with a focus on accessibility, brand promotion, and professionalism. The project’s goals, including increasing digital sales and enhancing the user experience, have been met with positive KPI results. An advanced search and filter function supports targeted navigation, while the “Window Journey” and “Build Your Window” tools engage users and connect them with resellers.
The platform has seen a 500% increase in leads within weeks of launch and noticeable improvements in web performance. This success is attributed to thorough preliminary studies and well-defined requirements, achieving the desired effect of increasing digital sales.
